on trend: bold botanicals

This Spring you can expect to see flowers in full bloom, popping up on blazers, dresses, and in stores everywhere. Bright, bold botanical prints are a big trend this coming season. Prints will come in all sorts of sizes and colors, and will appear on all sorts of pieces. So whether you want to go bold with a floral blazer or  feminine and flirty in a pair of print denim, give florals a try.

Blazers are a great way to wear florals to work. Throw a bright blazer on over a black dress or a blouse and pencil skirt and you will you look office appropriate and super chic. For most work places, just remember to keep the rest of your look toned down with simple neutrals and minimal accessories. (Pim + Larkin, Risch Blazer)

Floral print tops can be really versatile in the warm weather months ahead. Throw a casual shirt on with a pair of white shorts or denim cutoffs for an easy, casual outfit or pick a blouse in a silky material to dress up skinny jeans for a night out or pair with your go-to trousers for a 9 to 5 work look. (Asos, Charlotte Russe)

Floral denim may take a little more confidence to pull of but it can be done! To be safe, you can pick a color from the print in the jeans and wear them with a top of the same color. Or, if you are feeling daring, try out a different color all together and see how it looks! (Citizens of Humanity, Citizens of Humanity)

Floral dress (or rompers) will be everywhere this spring. Prints can be found in styles ranging from cotton day dresses to classy work dresses. My tip for dresses…pay attention to the size of the print. Petite frames, watch out for big prints and choose smaller patterns. (J.Crew, Topshop)
